Do or do not, there is no try.
Hello Newsletter friends,
Things at Street Fare Farm are flying at warp speed.. We are growing thanks to you! Support for our social media, markets, bulk orders, and CSA; has been fantastic. I want to give a shout out to our friends Qian and John, better known as “the Dumpling Lady” .We have started to supply them with all sorts of delicious veggies. If you have not had their dumplings, they are life changing. You can find them at the NoDa Farmer’s Market Saturday’s 9-12 or Wednesday 6-9.
I also want to take a moment and give a big thank you to all our Spring CSA customers. We love the CSA and want to make it a large part of our business. We have already received many emails from you about how thrilled you were with the boxes. It warms our hearts to know they we a great success. We ask that you take this enthusiasm and spread it to other veggie lovers around the area. The best way that we feel we can expand our CSA is by word of mouth. We are currently working on a way to post some reviews of our products so others can see what they have been missing out on. If you plan on signing up for our fall share, now is the time. You can find links on our website or in the link below.
We have been so busy with new markets, managing our summer plot, and readying our fall plot that we have barely had a chance for to breath. That might also be because it’s like 100 degrees everyday, but still we soldier on. This week we will have an amazing bounty at both of our markets, the Winecoff Market and NoDa Farmer’s Market: squash, zucchini, onions, potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, and eggplant, so make sure to show up early before its to late.
Over this past week I’ve had this quote from my all time favorite movies, Star Wars: The Empire strikes back . Yoda tells Luke, “do or do not, there is no try.”. That simple idea of committing to something completely. Feeling a tad bit convicted by this idea, I took a look at my attitude towards daily activities and life on the farm… Street Fare Farm is here to produce some of the best local and organic foods under the sun. Ben’s dream of creating a sustainable farm that cares and replenishes the environment has become our mission. Providing for our community while building a new understanding about the food industry is our passion. We are dedicated to these ideas and each day we strive to “Do” day in and day out.
Thank you for all your love and support throughout this crazy journey.
